Applicable Models: Explorer VP250

Note: Before starting the steps below, please ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged.

1. Remove the Rear Cover: Unscrew the 4 screws located on the back of the dehumidifier (as showninthe image below), and remove the rear cover.

2. Locate the Water PumpUnscrew the two screws securing the water pump (as shown in the image below), and take the water pump out.

3. Wiggle the Float Switch: Lift the top cover of the water pump up and you will find the float switch there. The float switch may be stuck. Gently wiggle the float switch up and down several times to ensure it can move freely.

4. Pour Water into the Pump Water Reservoir: Pour about 33 fl oz of water into the pump water reservoir (as shown in the image below).

5. Reinstall and Test: Reinstall pump and the rear cover. Then restart the dehumifier and check if the pump drains water automatically.

Note: The pump is activated only when the water level reaches a certain point, causing the float switch to rise to its highest position.
