Float Switches Troubleshooting Steps
Applicable Models: Defender ME-7S, Defender SP60
Note: Before starting the steps below, please ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged.
1. Remove the Front Panel: Unscrew the 2 screws on the front panel (as shown in the image below). Once loosened, carefully detach the front panel from the dehumidifier.
2. Access Float Switch Mechanism: Unscrew the screw securing the float switches (as shown in the image below), then lift this plate to access the float switch mechanism.
3. Wiggle the Float Switches:The float switches may be stuck. Gently wiggle both float switches up and down several times to ensure they can move freely.
4. Pour Water into the Water Tray:Reinstall the float switch mechanism, then pour about 27 fl oz of water into the water tray from the opening (as shown in the image below).
5. Reinstall and Test: Reinstall front panel. Then restart the dehumifier and check if the pump drains water automatically.
